Kiva Lodge

Kiva Lodge was the second phase of construction within Gateway Canyons Resort located in Gateway, Colorado.

This project will, upon completion of all phases, be a resort for both the spirit and the mind. Inspired by the stunning natural buttes and mesas surrounding the Kiva Lodge a vacation here would be one to remember. The activities will be complimented by educational classes for all ages at the Palisade Academy; an outdoor family picnic surrounded by Cottonwood Trees; a tour of the world class car museum displaying many of the most unique cars ever made; events catering for everything from business lunches to weddings; nature walks; bike rentals; and a world class spa. All of these activities are to be serviced by approximately 190 units rented at various price ranges with a wide variety of amenities.

Imagine beginning your day with a relaxing breakfast in your own private courtyard. Afterwards, meeting your friends to attend a class taught by a horse whisperer, followed by a teacher discussing the history of the local Native American people. Inspired by the petroglyphs discussed in the class you decide to take a bike ride through the picturesque landscape of Western Colorado to the nearby petroglyphs carved by the very people you learned about earlier that day.

As the heat of the day sets in, you take a dip in the pool and lunch turns into a lazy afternoon of relaxation, ending with an evening horseback riding lesson through the entire campus of the project and dinner at the local grille.

Imagine the sound of the wind, the vision of striking rock formations, the chance to relax your spirit and expand your mind.

Inspired by the design of ruins found at Pueblo Bonito, the buildings have a southwest motif and large privacy walls. Units for overnight use are designed around a central courtyard with a natural pool design, each ground level unit has a private courtyard and many have hot tubs. The units will provide a variety of spaces for use.
