The clients request was for our firm to design with the concept of creating the mine theme from past mining forms and shapes that will connect and embed to the existing heavily dense pine forest on the edge of the Gallatin River .  The structure will set on the flat plain and will stair step away from the River towards a prominent cliff beyond.  Vertical emphasis will be the focus on the structure as it stair steps back with horizontal structures supporting at the base.  Reused and “beaten up” materials and materials from the site will be used throughout the projects interior and exterior.

Views of cliffs across the river will be vertical focus points and the Gallatin River and the surrounding forest will have a majority of the horizontal view corridors.
