This project was designed based on the site layout, which includes a dramatic drop off on one side and a gently sloping grade to the opposite side. The plan is situated so that it creates its own protected courtyard with the residence wrapping around this space. This created an opportunity with the entry located at the center of the courtyard where it draws the visitors into the residence. The backside of the residence integrates several multi-leveled patios allowing the interior to become a part of the exterior patios with french doors. Certain elements, such as the Great Room, Kitchen, Dining and the Master Suite for this project were given their own separate roof forms that blended together at the center of the residence. This residence will be composed of 3 bedrooms, 3 ½ baths, spacious kitchen and immense amounts of natural light, totaling 2,800 s.f. with two levels. The materials used on this project were earth tone plasters, mottled concrete tile, aluminum clad windows, recycled timbers, accent lighting, and rusticated stonework. Vaulted ceilings, exposed truss work, natural light, fireplaces, light troweled plaster, carpet, tile and stone will be incorporated into the interior to give it a modern touch.
