The Golf Course Clubhouse takes advantage of natural views and proximity to the 1st and 18th holes of the Jim Engh course with its location along the Dolores River. The resort’s southwest influence is still present in the design but more freedoms are being taken with its location removed from the main campus. The ‘village’ concept allows the major functions to be separate buildings reducing the envelope’s mass. Key functions like the pro shop, fitness and golf locker rooms are pulled away separate from the banquet, meeting space and restaurant functions of the main building. Cart storage is underneath in the lower level. The large pool and its building serve the course residents as well as the resort guests across highway 141.
