Views to the Grand Tetons were required for this spacious home that rambles with spaces such as the Master Core area, Viewing/Office Tower, Great Room, Dining and Kitchen complete with large Hearth Room. The theme for this project is massiveness and permanence using volume, stone and logs.
The lot drops off slightly to give the ability for walkout spaces and allows for the home to be tucked into the site with earth and landscaping. A mixture of materials of wood cladding will create a log homestead aesthetic.
The interior layouts were driven by octagon geometry for certain areas creating interesting interior and exterior volumes. The Gourmet Kitchen will be connected to a spacious Hearth Room and a Butler’s Pantry. The Dining separates the Kitchen and the Great Room. The Kitchen is designed to be separated from the formal Great Room but to have direct adjacency to the Hearth Room. The circulation path will be celebrated with stone and timber elements. As with the hall, the stairs are a major point in the floor plan and the exterior elevation acting as an octagon in plan and tower in elevation.
A Guest Residence is connected by an exterior breezeway which is a part of the layout to create interesting exterior spaces between the Main Residence and the Guest Residence. An upper level houses a Bunk/Bonus Room as well as two Guest Bedrooms.
