McCann Residence
This residence is being designed to take full advantage of natural lighting and all views from this site. Our design will allow the natural light to reach far into the interior space to lighten the feel of the architecture. The floor plan has been kept narrow, linear and open to accomplish this goal.
One of the unique features in this home is a single wood-burning fireplace that is located in the Great Room. The open layout of the floor plan will facilitate the use of the fireplace as supplemental heating for the residence. The fireplace also acts as a node to mark the center circulation path of the residence. Another unique feature is the barn door on tracks that will serve as a functional accent in the Entry. When closed, the door will also act to conceal the Study/Den.
The floor plan and elevations are elegant through their simplicity and efficiency.
