Big Bear Lodge | Spring 2019 Construction

Spring Construction at Big Bear Lodge | Moonlight Basin, Montana

Construction at Big Bear Lodge, a private residence, is view-able from Moonlight Basin’s Six Shooter chair lift. This approximately 7,000 square foot home is well into the construction phase of development. We have watched the renderings come to life, most recently with the addition of stone work on the interior and exterior on the home. During the month of March, we have observed construction progress on blue bird days and in the midst of snow storms.

Big Bear Lodge Craftsmanship

The craftsmanship of the custom stone work in the living room is gorgeous. A central focal point is the custom fireplace located in the living room. The artistic stone details around the mouth of the fireplace were strategically placed to create the custom look. The stone detail adds warmth to the room, offsetting the dramatically large windows looking out at the sprawling mountains and ski runs.

The exterior stone details give the house a sense of permanence. It is grounded on the lot as a legacy home to serve families for years to come. Combined with the large glazing and reclaimed lumber, this house offers warmth and practicality. We teamed up with Energy 1 to create sustainable solutions to make Big Bear Lodge energy efficient while maintaining its level of luxury.

We are excited to see this project continue to develop through the spring and summer seasons. Be sure to look for it as you ride the Six Shooter this spring!
