Breaking Ground | HandleBar Ranch – Centre Sky Architecture

Best Custom Homes broke ground on our custom residence, HandleBar Ranch, this weekend! HandleBar Ranch is a comprised of a main house and a separate barn workshop located on a beautiful piece of land in Evergreen, CO. Derek Best, owner of Best Custom Homes, is the general contractor and leading the construction phase of this project. He has been great to work with during all the coordination leading up to this point.

HandleBar Ranch was designed around existing structures and incorporates the landscape of the spacious, wooded, site. The existing house and barn will be removed and replaced with a new home and barn that will open up to the large meadow and seasonal creek on the site. The house is more traditional “Montana Ranch” both inside and out while the barn leans toward Mountain Contemporary with exposed steel and board form concrete. Large banks of windows and garage doors open up the structures to the site, bringing the surrounding natural environment inside.
