Halker Homestead is our current project in Parker, Colorado. Jamie and Kelsey have been working on this design since last July and construction is right around the corner!
This home is what we call ‘Mountain Tuscan Aesthetic’ with the timbers, emphasized great room more like mountain architecture and the forms, spanish tile, stucco and stone with brick accents goes back to tuscan roots. The blend of these aesthetics creates a warm, cozy and beautiful home.
The site helped to tell us the story for this home. The home nuzzles right up the hill as it steps up from entry, to kids level to the master suite. The great room and entry are aligned with the view of Denver city lights and framed with stone arches as you walk through the front door to the amazing view.
Jamie and Kelsey were excited to achieve what we call the ‘Lantern’ look with the great room and dining room. This will be seen at night when the lights are on and the amount of windows snug tight to the timbers are glowing.
The renderings below are studies of different color palettes available with the chosen materials. We definitely feel both are successful and are working on the entry side renderings to really tell us what is most harmonious. Stay tuned!
