HC24 is Centre Sky Architecture’s latest remodel project in the Spanish Peaks Mountain Club. The Settlement Cabins are a development of single-family homes originally build about 10 years ago. The current owners of this cabin wanted to update the cabin to reflect their individuality and family needs.
The window composition at the rear of the house was redesign to update the window style and dramatically enlarge the windows. Originally the cabin had small windows with a dated wood finish. Larger windows with smaller mullions cladded in aluminum increases views and natural light from the Great Room and throughout the home.
The interior of the cabin was transformed from a traditional cabin aesthetic to a modern mountain home. The kitchen remodel increased space, functionality and beauty in the home. A bump out of the kitchen increased the overall square footage of the room. The redesign moved the ‘L’ shaped counter top to an island, creating an more open floor plan. Additional windows were added to increase the natural light and brighten up the space.
