North Star Ranch is located in Colorado. The images below represent an initial vision and rendering with the final result below for comparison. You can see how main forms and design moves held strong with great room location and hierarchy of sizes of rooms compared to the great room.
The biggest change that you can see is the exterior finish materials, and more clean contemporary rock layup. The rendering shows more of a rustic log mountain architecture and the final has more of a modern twist with cleaner lines (straight edges).
The process of design is something that never gets boring and every time we look back on a project and the process, it is always the one aspect we love most, how a project develops from start to finish.
