Telluride 11, Mountain Village, Colorado

Located in Mountain Village, Lot 11 is a down sloping site off of Cortina Drive. The lot is heavily covered with aspen and pine trees providing great privacy from neighbors. Lot 11 has spectacular southern and western sun exposure, providing a solar element. It also has views to the San Sophia Range to the East and views of ski runs to the West. Lot 11 is a ski in ski out lot with a skier access easement on its western property boundary.

This home was designed with a mountain contemporary architectural theme. Common spaces, such as the Great Room, Kitchen, and Dining are pushed to the North side of the site to take advantage of views and passive solar gain.  This is achieved through large windows and doors that open up to a patio and deck allowing for cross ventilation. The garage and master bedrooms are located on the South side of lot in order to minimize the amount of regrading. An upper level over the garage includes two large bedrooms that take advantage of views to the East and West. While the lower level bedrooms, ski room, and family room face west and are accessed via a walk out patio.
